| My name is Julie and I'm a 36yr old painter living and working in Dublin. I currently share a studio in Dublin city centre. I work primarily on sized paper and wood in oils/mixed media. At the moment I am working on a series of collage pieces about memory. My work draws on my own life experiences as well as the world around me, in a storytelling and a visual sense, using pure colour. My painting is mostly figurative-based, and is about communication between human beings, non-communication and mis-communication. I'm exploring the sense of how we perceive ourselves, through our relationships with other people and how we act around and are influenced by those people.
